You all know those days when you have a sink full of dishes and a shower which needs to be scrubbed. As well as the other THOUSAND things which are on your TO DO list let alone not pulling your hair out. Those days for me are usually when the baby decides to stay up all night or the toddlers got up at 4 am instead of 6. You know when you pull an all nighter but they aren't the fun ones like when I went to College.
Just a mom trying to raise 4 kids with lots of hugs, giggles, and adventures.

Painting with Toddlers
I struggle at times to tap into my childrens creative side. Why? I'm not sure. Part of me doesn't want to deal with the mess. The other part of me thinks it is really hard to allow them to do it own their own.

I Did NOT Sign Up For This!
That is a weird sentence. Even re-reading it I know how weird of a sentence it is. However it is probably one of the most honest sentences I have ever written.

Quote of the Week #2
My Dad's 59th birthday was yesterday July 25th. He spent the day working, attending Saturday night mass with me and my kids, and supporting the Ulster Project by attending the Blarney Sampler. He really spend his day helping me wrangle my kids and telling them to be quiet.
Dad has dealt with so much in his life. Probably more than I know about and that is ok. It may not be fair but unfortunately that is life.
My mom got breast cancer when I was in Kindergarten and passed away when I was in second grade. He raised three little girls on his own for a very long time until he remarried. My dad had to sit by while he watched us hurt because we were without our mother. There was nothing he could do but hold us and cry. He is the strongest man I know! Dad had to go back to school at night so he could give us a life he thought we deserved. My dad made sure our lives remained the same. He made sure we still did the things we loved. Not many men could of stepped up like he did.

This quote is perfect for him!
I use the things he taught me everyday.
He taught me how to love even when they don't deserve it.
He taught me how to work hard.
He taught me that honesty is the best policy.
He taught me to pray when you aren't sure what to do.
He taught me that dance parties are the best when getting ready for school.
He taught me how to reach the stars.
He taught me that popcorn makes everything better. Don't ask...
I may not remember spending his birthday together but I will remember him teaching me how to be a good person. I will remember him telling me he is proud of me for finishing college in 4 years instead of messing around. I will remember the hugs he gives me every time we leave each other. There is no way I can forget the look on his face when he held my children for the first time. His heart is one of the things that makes him such an amazing man. I am forever proud to be his daughter.

An Experience I will Always Remember
When I was 16 I decided to spend my summer involved with a program call the Ulster Project. It was the best summer of my life!
If you are not aware there has been conflict in Northern Ireland between the Catholic and Protestant Religions and Politics for a very long time. The Ulster Project was started to end what is called The Troubles. The Troubles began in 1968 and it went on for 30 years.

5 Things I Learned Nursing
Not everybody can nurse their child and not everybody wants to. That is totally fine! It is your choice and I support you!
There were some days I wished my husband was the one who did the nursing so I could get a good nights sleep! I wasn't that lucky though.

Worst Day of My Life
It all started off as a normal day. I drove to work like normal. Read my emails and listened to voicemails like I do everyday. The only out of the ordinary thing I had to do was meet a client in the ER because they were having a psychological break down but I have done that before so it was not that different.
My day was going fine. I was sitting in an ER room with my client and her guardian researching information on my phone. Not too bad even though I am sure there were 20 other things I could be doing.
I get a text from my husband. "Call me as soon as you can."
My Top 10 Children's Movies
As parents we watch a lot of movies on repeat. I will be the first one to tell you that some days I would rather run my foot over with a car than watch that movie one more time! I have compiled a list of movies that I would gladly watch 12 times in a row....and maybe when the kids are asleep. This is not a review of these movies just a reason why I would watch them over and over and over and....well you get the point.

What's this about?!?
Oh my goodness! Thank you for clicking whatever link you did to get here! It seriously means so much to me that you would take time to read this crazy shenanigans of a blog I am writing. Fun fact about me...my grandmother used to always say shenanigans so now whenever I hear it or even say it I think of her. Sometimes I am scared I am turning into my Irish Catholic Grandmother. Yup scary thought.
